How to access other profiles?

- First, you need to register with Marriage.lk in order to access other member’s profiles.
- Marriage.lk always adhere to protect the Privacy and Data of our members therefore we guarantee that our platform is safe and reliable.Therefore, personal information of our members is always treated with the highest level of security.

- If you have already registered as a member, you can log in to your account by entering your logging details.
- Visit our "Member Area" from Navigation menu

- If you are a new member, simply complete the registration form here. Register

Enter your gender, the gender of the partner you are looking for, your e-mail address and your password.

Please take your time and read carefully our Terms and Conditions and Privacy / Data Protection prior you register with marriage.lk

Please also read our code of online ethics as well as safety and staying safe.

Our team checks every profile entry and photo before they are uploaded to a profile.

Once you have completed the registration process, our team will contact you for manual verification. After this process, you will receive an email confirming your registration.

How do I log in and log out?

If you have already registered as a member, you can log in to your account via two methods:

Method 1: Log-in for members

- Visit our main Homepage
- Submit your email address and password in the "User Login" section
- Select “Submit”



Method 2: Already a member?

- Visit our "Member Area" from Navigation menu
- Submit your email address and password in the "Login" section
- Select “Login”

Or

- Use "Facebook Login" option which takes only two steps and easy to connect. :)



- The added benefit of this method is that you can mark the "Remember me" box before you select "Log in". This way your login details will be saved for next time.
You can also find a box on the same page called "Already a registered member?" in which you can also submit your details.

To log out of your profile:

- Select "Log out"


How do I edit my profile?

- You just changed job or you gave up smoking? You can edit these profile entries at any time. To change your personal information, just log in to your account, and select "Edit Profile".
- Select "Update" button on the bottom.

What are the browsers we support?

You can use all the most popular web browsers with Marriages.lk, including Google Chrome, Internet Explorer (7+), Safari, Opera Mozilla and Firefox.
Please note that Internet Explorer 6 is no longer available and supported as it is now considered an outdated web browser
We advise you to update your browser accordingly and periodically. Only with the most current version are you assured the highest level of security.
Please note that sometimes due to heavy online traffics some web browsers may not available therefor we always advise you to use Google Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer.

I want to change my email notification! how can I change the settings?

When you a someone view your profile, send a message, a new partner suggestion or someone wants to contact you, then you will receive an email notification to your registered email address.

You can subscribe or unsubscribe from our newsletter, or email notifications regarding matches or messages, via your account. You need to follow below guide lines.

1) Select the cogwheel ("(My) Account")
If you're on a mobile device, you will find this option in the menu

2) Then click on “Notification Options”

3) Mark or un-mark the email notification option. Don't forget to save your changes.

I want to delete my profile permanently! How can I do it?

For Premium Members:

You will need to cancel your subscription before you delete your profile. As per our Terms and Conditions, we will not be able to refund the remainder of your subscription if you delete your account before your subscription has ended.

This will not applicable for basic members.

To permanently delete your profile from Marriages.lk, please log in to your account with your registration email address and password.

1. Select the cogwheel (“Account”). On a mobile device, you will find this option in the menu.
2. Select "My Membership"
3. Scroll to the bottom of the screen. You will find a section which says "Information about my profile".
4. Select your reason for deletion.
5. Enter your registered email address and password.
6. Confirm the deletion by selecting "Continue".

Once you have complete the procedure, your account will be completely and permanently deleted.
When permanently delete, what will happen to my information or data? Please note that All your matches and messages will be irretrievably lost and we will not be able to reinstate your profile. We will not be able to give any backups.

I wish to have a basic, free membership, What facilities can I have?

Can I read messages with a basic membership? Can I see photos? The following free features are available to basic members:

• view your personality test results
• View member’s profile
• Receive email from Marriage.lk
• upload photos
We offer the basic membership as an introduction to our service and we do this to give potential Premium members a realistic idea of our website and our community. You are given a first glance at what the website looks like, how it works and what kind of partner suggestions you will be sent.

Premium Members are matched primarily with other Premium Members who have the possibility of communicating with each other via personalised messages, commenting on their matches' profiles, viewing each other’s profile photos and receiving up to 20 additional matches via our notification facility feature in addition to the basic features listed above.

Our priority, first and foremost, is to give our members the opportunity to find a serious and long term relationship quickly and effectively, and for this reason we encourage all members to sign up for Premium features so they can take full advantage of what our service has to offer.

How can I become a premium member What is the cost of Premium membership?

Once you register on Marriages.lk and complete the personality test, you will then have a basic, free membership. You can upgrade to a Premium membership, and thus gain full access to all the Premium features, at any time.

The cost of a Premium membership at Marriages.lk depends on the duration of the contract you choose and the offers available at the time when registration is completed. To view the available offers, just log in to your Marriages.lk account and select “Become a Premium member”.

You can purchase a subscription via bank transfer or PayPal. Payment is made by selecting a Premium offer, entering the payment details and clicking/tapping the “Purchase” button.

What are the payment methods offered by Marriages.lk?

You can purchase your Marriages.lk Premium membership by bank transfer or PayPal.
Please note: the subscription fees are taken in monthly instalments!
• log in to your account
• select “Become a Premium member”
• select the offer you wish to purchase
• select "Continue"

1) Payment by PayPal

Select “Payment via PayPal” and click/tap on the “Continue” button.
You will then be redirected to the PayPal website. You will be asked to log into your personal PayPal account and to confirm the payment.

2) Bank Transfer
Select “Payment via bank transfer” and click/tap on the “Continue” button.
You will be asked to log into your personal bank account and to confirm the payment.

Whether my Premium subscription automatically renew?

Yes, it will automatically renew.
The aim of Marriages.lk is to help you to find your perfect partner. For this reason, we allow you uninterrupted communication with your matches and bring you one step closer to your own success story.

Every member has the opportunity to acquaint themselves with the cancellation clause in our terms and conditions prior to purchase.

Of course, if you do not wish to be renewed, you can always disable the renewal option of your subscription under the membership section of your account.

How do I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel your Premium membership at any time, provided you do so within the required notice period.

VIA YOUR PROFILE

Log in to your Marriages.lk account with your registration email address and password. 1. Select the cogwheel (“Account”).
2. Select "My Membership".
3. Towards the bottom of the screen you will find a section which says "Information about my membership".
Click/tap on the "here" where you see the sentence "For more information on how to cancel your Premium membership, please click here"
4. Select your reason for cancellation:
Check the appropriate box for your cancellation reason, then click/tap on "Continue".
Enter your password to confirm the cancellation. Once you have done so, just click on "Confirm".

Please make sure you complete all the steps so that the cancellation is successful.

If the cancellation is successful, the following page will read "Cancellation confirmation". You should then receive a cancellation confirmation to your registered email address.

In some cases, the cancellation will be incomplete, and you will be asked to contact Customer Care to finalise the cancellation. The message will read "Your cancellation is not yet completed."

Of course, you are very welcome to contact our Customer Care team, should you require any assistance. For more information on cancellations, please read through our Terms and Conditions.

Should you wish to continue with your Premium membership, you can reopen your subscription by selecting "My Account", and then "My membership". You will see a button which says "Activate account again". Click/tap this button to reopen your subscription.

The Marriages.lk app is a convenient and, above all, quick way to find the love of your life!

The app can be downloaded free of charge from the iTunes Store or from the Google Play Store.

It’s available for everyone, whether you're a basic member, or you've already purchased a Premium membership via the main desktop website, Marriage.lk.

You can even create your profile directly via the app by submitting your email address, choosing a password, and by completing the personality test. The app itself has a clear structure and is very easy to use. The menu provides you with an overview of your profile settings, your partner suggestions, profile visitors and your received messages. With just one tap you can send your matches a smile, or upload a photo to your profile.

Should your partner suggestion be using the iOS app, they will receive a “push notification” which immediately lets them know you have shown an interest in their profile, or that you have sent them a smile or a message. Likewise, you will also receive a push notification when a match has shown interest and you can therefore always respond swiftly when you’re on the go. The push notifications can be switched on or off very easily via the menu.

The app is always being updated and we regularly add new and improved features. In sum, the Marriages.lk App is a great way to quickly and comfortably pave the way to your success story in finding love!

Android App - How do I cancel my Mobile Pass subscription?

If you wish to change your mobile pass subscription or cancel the automatic renewal of your subscription, you will need to do so via your Google Play account:

• go to play.google.com/store/account
• find your Marriages.lk subscription
• click Cancel Subscription.

Please note: deleting your profile or uninstalling the app will not cancel the automatic renewal of your mobile pass subscription.

iOS App - How do I cancel my Mobile Pass subscription?

You can update your membership or switch off the automatic renewal of your mobile pass 24 hours before the next subscription payment by signing in to your iTunes account:

• Open the App Store on your mobile device,

• Scroll down to the bottom of the page
• Click on “Sign In”, then on “View ID”.
You will be able to make changes in the "Manage Subscriptions" section.

Please note: deleting your Marriages.lk profile will not cancel the automatic renewal of your subscription.

How do I receive a refund?

The right to withdraw from your contract is valid for 14 days after the initial purchase of your subscription. Once this 14-day notice period has expired, we can no longer grant refunds.
The right to withdraw from your contract only applies to the initial purchase (so the start of your contract). All our subscriptions renew for the same duration. However, as the renewed term is still part of the same contract, the right to a refund is not applicable. This means that if your subscription automatically renews, we cannot refund the renewal fee.
Technically a refund can only be issued manually by our Customer Care team, so the deletion of your account, or the early cancellation of your subscription, will not automatically refund you.
In order to request a refund, please contact our Customer Care team. If you choose to contact us via email, please make sure to clearly state your request for a refund.
Our Customer Care team will get back to you as soon as possible.
